Field Engineer – 4/9/2013 – 10/4/2013

             

·         As part of the Network Operations team, provide support to multi-functional team of R&D, Program Management, Core Networking, RF Engineering, Transport and Technical/Training Support to fulfill multi-technology wireless network deployment across customer markets. Integrate and commission Samsung MMBS equipment to Samsung standards. 

 

·         Develop and maintain commissioning & integration documentation and provide necessary technical input on its development.  Mentor and train Samsung partners and other vendors/clients on the installation, commissioning and integration of MMBS equipment. 

 

·         Commission and integrate Cisco CSR routers to manufacturer’s and Samsung specifications. Implemented and coordinated SS7 links, SIP services, IP Sysconfig, and Perl Scripting.

·         Hired on as an (CFE) Cellular Field Engineer, to travel Nationwide and commission & integrate (F1 & F2) 1^st and 2^nd Carrier UMTS 3206/3106/3418/3518 Node Equipment.

 

·         Terminate DC power to equipment, Scratch Load Basic package, site specific configuration scripts.

 

·         Verify Transport to OSS/RNC and troubleshoot when necessary. 

 

 

·         Prepare and terminate T1 cables to Node-B. Coordinate with the NIC & ATT switch on Integration Alarm verification and testing, Circuit/Packet/High speed// E911Call testing on all sectors.

·         Traveled to various markets nationwide to conduct end to end testing in 2G/3G/4G TDMA, GSM, UMTS, GNI, TNI, and VSC Systems, using various handsets and tools included in Cingular Wireless Testing Analyst Center.

 

·         I was the first CTAT Engineer in the nation to test turn-up and successfully complete Video Share Call (VSC) for Cingular Wireless.

 

MOTOROLA/COMCAST - Nationwide, USA

Field Engineer Tier III - 2004 - 2005             

             

·         I was the 2nd Field Engineer hired on nationwide project, responsible for designing, installing, and configuring the entire necessary components to support the Voice Over IP/Broadband products in the Boston, Seattle, and Bristol Headends.

·         This included components such as, CATV, Centest 650, the INET box, Minacom device, Tellabs DACS 5500 NGX Soft Switch, Cedar Point Safari C3, SafariView HA/HR Server A-Netra Sun 240,  Symmetricom SSU2000 Timing source, IP Unity Harmony 6000, IP Unity web proxy (DL-360), IP Unity Network Storage Network Appliance FAS270, Cisco routers 7606 (DR), 7609 (UR), Cisco Terminal Servers, Netscreen 5200 Firewalls, Juniper Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), assorted Sun equipment (v120’s, v240’s, and, v440’s), and Adtran CSU/DSU’s, ONS gear (5200 and 5300), Routers and Switchers.  Provisioned, translated, and installed circuits from OC48 level down to DSO circuits to include SS7 links and building spans for PRI/ISDN trunks also DSX3 panels.
